Bilingual GIS Specialist

WHO country office in Democratic Republic of the Congo is urgently looking for a bilingual GIS specialist for the ongoing Ebola outbreak response activities. 

Initially 2 months contract as a consultant based in Kinshasa, DR Congo Main tasks: 

  • Coordinate GIS activities in the scope of Ebola
  • Manage the GIS network in collaboration with the Ministry of Health 
  • Maintain the GIS Hub and online Dashboards
  • Coordinate field data collection
  • Give guidance for map productions 
  • Keep an active relationship with GIS resource persons of WHO partners (In the scope of the GIS Network) 

Requirements: 

  • Available immediately 
  • Minimum Master’s degree in geography, spatial analysis, GIS or equivalent experience 
  • Very good Knowledge of ESRI products (ArcGIS Desktop or Pro, ArcGIS Online) 
  • Ability to maintain and manipulate data within GIS Software and ArcGIS online 
  • Knowledge of French 
  • Knowledge of Esri products for field data collection (Survey123)
